CT Eye Shields designed for use in head and facial CT scans, mold over the nasal bridge with the eye shield portions laying flat over the patient's closed eyes allowing for about 50% dose savings to the eye lens. Shield consists of a single piece thin (1 mm) layer of bismuth impreganted synthetic rubber with adhesive back strip to ensure a tight seal with minimal air gaps. Intended as a single use product to prevent against potential biological contamination.

CT Thyroid Shileds when used for the soft tissues of the neck, offer 60% dose savings to the radiosensitive thyroid gland dring CT procedures. Shield consists of a single piece thin (1 mm) layer of bismuth impreganted synthetic rubber and features a curved notch in the center to ensure proper positioning. Lateral bow ties are also attached to the inferior flaps of the shield to accomodate larger necks or larger thyroid glands that extend beyond the clavicle or sternum. Adhesive back holds the shield firmly in place as patient breathes and swallows.
